Archive meets Artists with Cie. La Ronde
How free are we as human beings? This question preoccupied the philosopher Jean-Jacques Rousseau 300 years ago. It is the time of Romanticism. In their dance piece 4 x Rousseau, Cie. La Ronde takes it as a starting point to reflect on diversity and social coexistence in today's world.
We want to explore these connections in conversation. What does freedom actually mean and how does it relate to inequality? Together, we will look at sources from the archive and explore the question of what makes a long-gone era so fascinating.
