An exhibition in collaboration with the Fondation Serge Lifar

Dancer, choreographer, teacher, author and ambassador of dance: as an emblematic personality and one of the creators of neoclassical ballet, Serge Lifar shaped the history of dance in the 20th century and influenced renowned artists such as Maurice Béjart.

The exhibition approaches the artist in four chapters: In his most famous roles as Icarus and Giselle, his very personal technique and the "coin des raretés", which presents photographic trouvailles relating to his life and work. In this exhibition, the SAPA Foundation is once again bringing its archive treasures to light and paying tribute to an important artist who spent the last years of his life in Lausanne.

The exhibition runs until December 31, 2021 and admission is free; guided tours for groups are available on request. The exhibition is accompanied by a booklet for adults and a booklet for children and young people.
