WORLD DAY FOR AUDIOVISUAL HERITAGE 2025

On the occasion of the World Day for Audiovisual Heritage, we invite you to explore our SAPA website, which offers a wide-ranging selection of filmed Oral History portraits. Discover the individuals and their stories that have shaped the performing arts in Switzerland as we know them today.
Oral History is a method of documenting and researching the performing arts. It is based on interviews and conversations about the lives and work of individuals. Previously unheard memories and undocumented perspectives thus find their way into the history of the performing arts and enrich the collections.
Since 2012, SAPA has been engaged with Oral History. The interviews are professionally catalogued, archived, and made accessible as source material - for general interest, practice, and research.
Programme:
27.10.2025, 11–17 hrs: Screening of Oral History portraits at the SAPA Foundation
