11,000 new entries on Swiss productions published in Wikidata
In the first half of 2024, more than 11,000 new entries on Swiss performing arts productions were created in Wikidata, made possible by a partnership established in 2023 between the SAPA Foundation, Swiss Archive of the Performing Arts and the Wikimedia CH association. This involves almost 20 percent of all productions documented by the foundation - a first milestone in the collaboration between the two organizations.
Five Swiss institutions were selected for this first step:
- StadttheaterBasel (recording period 1834-1968): 7,861 productions.
- Schauspielhaus Zurich (recording period 1921->): 2,550 productions
- Theatre de Vidy, Lausanne (recording period 1989->): 766 productions.
- Théâtre de Carouge - Atelier de Genève (recording period 1958->): 664 productions
- Teatro Sociale Bellinzona: 64 productions.
