Les Souffleurs de Temps

How can archives be made visible, audible, and brought into the present?
The project Souffleurs de temps combines artistic creation with cultural outreach, allowing history to be experienced in a new way.
Drawing on seven selected objects and documents from the collections of the SAPA Foundation in Lausanne, the artist trio Héloïse Pocry, Fiona Daniel and Sébastien Bertrand have created a work that unites literature, music, and digital art. Historical facts are interwoven with imaginative storytelling.
The Souffleurs de temps give the archival materials a voice: they recount their stories as if they were the adventures of heroines and heroes, skilfully blending factual information with narrative invention.
The resulting stories are read aloud, enriched with music and sound design, and staged within a visual 3D composition that embeds the objects and documents in a dreamlike world of images.
The project will launch on September 27, 2025, during the Nuit des Musées in Lausanne and Pully. The presentation will take the form of a website, accompanied by a diverse programme of cultural outreach activities.
