The Pellaton Experience (2020-2022)

Screen recording www.the-pellaton-experience.ch
A digital application for accessing audiovisual interviews.

Dr. Ursula Pellaton (*1946) is a walking encyclopaedia of Swiss dance history. Her passion for dance was sparked by a performance by Giselle in Zurich in 1963. This was the beginning of her long-standing commitment to dance, which she has accompanied ever since as a journalist and historian, among other things.

The SAPA Foundation has developed a digital application in collaboration with the Institute of Digital Communication Environments (IDCE) at the University of Art and Design, University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland. This makes it possible to make audiovisual interviews accessible and to browse for specific topics of interest. The topics addressed in the interview are linked to further material from the SAPA Foundation's database. By linking to other databases, additional knowledge on the topics discussed is made accessible.

The project was funded by the program Cultural Heritage Dance of the Federal Office of Culture.
