Kasics Ursula

Kasics completed her training as a dancer and dance teacher at the Palucca School in Dresden. She then taught modern dance and gymnastics at the Folkwang School in Essen and danced at the Stadttheater Bern. She opened her own dance and gymnastics studio in Zurich and began training teachers - later renamed the Vocational School for Dance and Gymnastics. Her teaching was strongly influenced by Rosalia Chladek.
As President of the Swiss Professional Association for Dance and Gymnastics, Kasics shaped the development of the profession for over 15 years, drew up guidelines for the professional training of gymnastics teachers and worked hard to improve the professional situation of dancers in Switzerland. She is co-editor of Bewegungen. Dance and Gymnastics in Switzerland 1939-1989. Documentation on the 50th anniversary of the SBTG (1989).
