Special internship

The SAPA Foundation has been compiling a collection of oral history interviews with Swiss dance and theater professionals since 2012. During the internship, you will accompany an oral history process from the research to the preparation and transcription of the interviews and gain an in-depth insight into the methodology.
We offer a versatile internship position with individual creative possibilities in a dynamic, future-oriented archive. The workplace is located right next to Bern railroad station. A modest internship salary is paid.
Tasks
- Researching and collecting data in preparation for the interviews
- Collaboration in the transcription of the audiovisually recorded interviews
- Collaboration in the preparation and indexing of the interviews
- Support in administrative matters
Requirements
The internship is aimed at students of theater and dance studies or a related humanities discipline and the various fields of study in the performing arts. Prerequisites are a good knowledge of the theater and dance scene in Switzerland and an interest in research activities and documentary processes. You are communicative, reliable and work with precision. You have a good command of written and spoken German and enjoy working in a multilingual (German/French) environment in a small, motivated team.
