Wydler Irene

Irène Wydler received her training at the Swiss Theater Dance School in Zurich with Herta Bamert and Maya Kübler. Her artistic development was shaped by studies with renowned teachers: Modern dance with Clothilde and Alexander Sacharoff, classical ballet with Olga Preobrazhenskaya in Paris, pantomime with Étienne Decroux, flamenco with Susana Janssen and contemporary dance with Hans Züllig.
As a soloist, she presented her own choreographies and Spanish dances in Switzerland and performed in productions at the Stadttheater Zürich. In addition to her artistic activities, she was a long-time correspondent for the renowned Dance Magazine in New York and observed the development of the Swiss dance scene with a critical eye - even before Richard Merz, one of the country's best-known dance critics.
Until 2012, Irène Wydler dedicated herself to pedagogical work and taught stage performers, amateurs and children with passion. Her commitment has had a lasting impact on dance education in Switzerland.
