Ines Sauter-Brunner was a Swiss dancer who performed in several of Kurt Jooss's choreographies during the 1950s, including The Green Table, The Night Train, and Colombinade . She was initially introduced to dance through rhythmics classes with Bice Scheitlin in Zurich. She subsequently danced under the direction of Mara Jovanovits in the ballet ensemble of the Stadttheater St. Gallen, where Ulla Soderbaum, a dancer with Kurt Jooss, saw her perform. On Soderbaum's recommendation, Ines Sauter-Brunner went to Essen and studied for three years at the Folkwang School, where she was taught by Kurt Jooss, Hans Züllig, and Albrecht Knust in Labanotation, among others.

In the interview, she recounts how, on short notice, she was able to replace one of Jooss's dancers for a guest performance in Rotterdam. To do so, she learned the role from notation with the help of Albrecht Knust and ultimately danced in his company until Ballets Jooss disbanded in 1953. Afterward, she returned to Switzerland and, at her family's request, studied sports in Magglingen. From then on, she worked as a physical education teacher in various schools. In the interview, she also shares her memories of the choreography for The Green Table.
