Fuchs Marianne

Marianne Fuchs received her ballet lessons from Mario Volkart in Zurich and danced at the Stadttheater St. Gallen under the direction of Mara Jovanovits. After an accident, she had to end her career as a dancer and turned to teaching. She taught ballet at the Migros-Klubschule St. Gallen and completed extensive pedagogical training with Ferenc von Tergel in Düsseldorf and Gret Palucca in Dresden. In addition, she attended pedagogy classes with Peter Appel in Basel and worked with Heinz Spoerli.
Marianne Fuchs then opened her own school in St. Gallen. This school produced two winners of the Prix de Lausanne: Martin Schläpfer and Martino Müller. The Stadttheater St. Gallen took over Forster's ballet school as a theater dance school under her direction. There she built up a varied repertoire, including works by Heinz Spoerli and Tom Schilling.
