Duse Riccardo

Riccardo Duse received his training from his mother, Mara Dousse, as well as from Boris Kniaseff and Nicolas Zvereff. As a dancer, he was engaged at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan and worked as a first solo dancer with the Compagnia di Balletto Italiano, Het Nederlands Ballet, the Cologne Opera House, the New York City Ballet and in Frankfurt am Main.
Riccardo Duse has worked as a ballet master and choreographer at the Lucerne City Theatre, the Municipal Theatres in Freiburg im Breisgau, the Bern City Theatre, the Kassel City Theatre and as ballet master at the Bayreuth Festival. He was also deputy director of the Bavarian State Ballet in Munich.
In Lucerne , he succeeded in raising the standard of the ballet company considerably in a short space of time and significantly increasing the number of ballet productions. He brought renowned guest choreographers such as Nicholas Beriozoff and Heinz Spoerli to Lucerne and specifically promoted young colleagues.
