Conservation and digitization
General notes
Digitisation at SAPA is specialist work. Each analogue AV document is inspected for damage, cleaned if necessary, and processed individually. Professional digitisation includes precise documentation of the master tape’s technical metadata. Playback devices, transfer paths, faulty source material and other issues are recorded in detail.
Quality control at the end of the process ensures that digitisation has been successful. It is performed in accordance with the client’s specification and professional standards.
Matters of copyright are the responsibility of the client.
Work is carried out in line with Memoriav recommendations on digital archiving.
